Helping Children Build Confidence, Resilience, and Lifelong Social-Emotional Skills
At Socially Connected Kids, children are given meaningful opportunities to better understand themselves, strengthen their confidence, and develop practical social-emotional skills they can use in everyday life.
Through engaging, evidence-informed programs, children have opportunities to learn, connect, and develop practical skills in a welcoming environment where they feel safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves.
Supportive Steps.Lasting Skills.
Growing Skills for Everyday Life
Social-emotional skills develop over time through meaningful experiences, supportive relationships, and opportunities to put new learning into action.
Our small-group programs make that learning engaging and relevant, giving children opportunities to explore new ideas, practise developing skills, make connections, and discover strategies that work for them.
We help children develop a stronger understanding of themselves, recognize and draw on their strengths, and build practical strategies they can use with growing confidence at home, at school, with peers, and in their communities.
Our programs support the development of
- Emotional Awareness and Self-Regulation
- Confidence and Resilience
- Communication
- Friendship and Relationship Skills
- Problem-Solving and Conflict Resolution
- Executive Functioning
- Cooperation and Teamwork
Featured Program
Growing Emotional Strength
Understand feelings. Recognize body signals. Discover what helps.
Growing Emotional Strength is a 7-week small-group program for children ages 8–11 that builds emotional awareness, self-understanding, confidence, and practical self-regulation skills.
Children explore emotions, such as sadness, anger, and worry, body signals, triggers, personal strengths, and self-care through developmentally appropriate activities designed to make learning meaningful and engaging.
Each child also creates a Regulation Toolkit, while families receive a Session in Review after every session to help carry the learning into everyday life.
Why Families Choose Socially Connected Kids

Through games, movement, creativity, and hands-on experiences, children explore and develop social-emotional skills in ways that are engaging, practical, and meaningful to everyday life.
Meet Christine
Experience Grounded in Connection
Hi, I'm Christine, a Child and Youth Worker and founder of Socially Connected Kids. For more than 20 years, I've had the privilege of supporting children and youth with diverse strengths, abilities, and support needs.
Some of the moments that have stayed with me most are the seemingly small ones that represent something much bigger: a child trying a strategy on their own, recognizing a strength, making a connection, finding their voice, or participating in something that once felt difficult.
Those experiences helped shape Socially Connected Kids and my belief that children develop meaningful skills when they feel understood, supported, and given opportunities to experience success.
What We Hope Children Take With Them
We want children to feel welcomed, understood, respected, and valued while they're with us. But what happens beyond the program matters just as much.
We want children to leave with greater awareness of themselves, practical strategies they understand how to use, stronger communication and relationship skills, emotional resilience, and growing confidence in their own abilities — skills they can continue developing at school, at home, with friends, and throughout everyday life.
Give Them Something They Can Take With Them
A strategy explored today can become a tool a child draws on tomorrow.
